The Smart Living Media has senior management experience and success in corporate and non-governmental organizations, environmental engineering, film and television production, marketing and advertising. Through Smart Living Media and the Smart Living Foundation they seek to promote a real world and common sense based understanding of sustainability by utilizing modern media in its capability to engage, inform and entertain. The core of Smart Living's passion lies in their understanding of and passion for digital storytelling and the access new digital technology is offering to all people in all walks of life.

Wayne Soper has over 35 years of professional and senior management experience in environmental engineering, business development, external relations and sustainable development in North America and internationally. During a long career with Westcoast Energy, Mr. Soper held various senior management and executive positions and from 1999 was Senior Vice President, External Relations for Westcoast and Duke Energy Canada. Since 2004, Mr. Soper has continued his sustainability communications focus through active engagement in business, community, and nongovernmental sustainability related initiatives including as a Director and Past Chair of the International Centre for Sustainable Cities and as sustainability advisor to the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Mr. Soper is a registered professional engineer in the province of British Columbia.

Barrie McIntosh has spent the majority of his career in senior management positions with a major Vancouver based international chemical process plant design, procurement and turn-key engineering contractor. Barrie is a respected professional in marketing and advertising management and has had broad responsibilities in all aspects of large project marketing and promotional programs and campaigns including print and electronic media advertising. Barrie has continued to pursue his creative interest in film production and to date has written a number of feature film scripts and as well has produced and assisted in the production of a number of local independent films.

Don Woodman has spent the last 15 years working in the film industry in Vancouver. A Business Graduate of Simon Fraser University Don's film industry career that has ranged from production accounting on Canadian feature films to Development Analyst and Business Affairs Analyst with Telefilm Canada and the Shaw Rocket Fund. He has served in a variety of senior production rles including Associate Producer, Writer and Development Executive on a variety of film and television projects, Don has acquired an excellent understanding of both the financial and creative aspects of the film and television industry in Canada. From script development, to raising production financing, to post production and distribution, Don has worked with a number of successful, independent Canadian production companies that include Keystone Entertainment Inc., (producers of Air Bud) Studio B Productions Inc. (producers of Yvon of the Yukon, and Being Ian) and Infinity Pictures Inc. (producers of the Oscar nominated film Capote).

Katja Macura brings creative ideas and technology together to create unique business and marketing solutions. Katja has worked as a consultant since 1994 and has been in the multi media space since 1999. Katja worked as a senior strategist at Blast Radius developing digital marketing and relationship management strategies for a variety of clients including Nintendo of America, Nintendo of Europe, HSBC Canada and Nike. Katja was also instrumental in defining and implementing the company's strategic planning process. As an Internet Strategist Katja is focused on ensuring projects create strategic value for her clients by developing innovative, user centered solutions to meet each client's unique objectives. Katja is an experienced strategist, business analyst and facilitator. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.

Andrew Robinson brings expertise is in translating complex ideas related to sustainability into a clear, understandable narrative. An environmental sustainability professional with over 8 years of international experience in the private, public and non-profit sectors, Andrew has worked with the United Nations Environment Program and organizations including the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. He is currently a Social and Economic Scientist with a Vancouver based environmental consulting firm. Andrew has acquired expertise on issues surrounding climate change and the socio-economic drivers behind it, energy, land-use change, environmental management and corporate social responsibility. Originally from a broadcasting background with the CBC and the Canadian Public Affairs Channel (CPAC), Andrew also produced and developed documentary films while living in Africa, including on natural resource management, the Kenyan AIDS pandemic, and cultural preservation. Andrew holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford.

Alisia Vinnitsky began her professional journey in media production in Toronto in the early 1990's as a multimedia designer and a project manager. She was part of award winning teams producing corporate cd-roms, 3D rendered architecture and virtual tour cd's. As her media interests evolved, Alisia entered the world of feature film and television production where she quickly worked her way up the ranks to overseeing TV series production and producing a variety of other entertainment and commercial projects. In mid 2005, Alisia moved to Vancouver to join Telefilm Canada's New Media sector, where she reviewed, analyzed and advised on project selection for investment funding. Leaving Telefilm to rejoin the private sector as an independent producer, Alisia took on a new challenge as studio manager for the social network and people's publisher site, Zeros2Heros.com. While still involved with the z2h team, Alisia needed her next endeavour to be intertwined with a worthy cause and a sense of making a difference. When the opportunity presented itself to join Smart Living, Alisia was thrilled to accept. She is now in charge of SmartLiving.com's Content Acquisition & Corporate Marketing.
